America. He recalls Henry's Fork of the Snake River and a

BERNARD VENABLES MBE was one of our most famous fishermen and the elder
statesman of British Angling. He had fished all over the world. He was an artist and
journalist and his ‘Mr Crabtree' books are now collectors' items. Bernard's story,

"What I wanted to do was to put together a cassette which would capture
the peace and quiet of the countryside, a day away from it all on the riverbank,
so that fishermen who have to spend time in their cars, when they'd rather be fishing,
could escape from the tensions of the traffic to the peace of their favourite pastime.
What you'll hear on the tape is our featured fishermen talking,
just as they would at the end of a day on the water,
along with the sounds of wildlife and the evocative rattle of reels."
